What primers & preparation are
Adhesion is the single most important factor in coating and membrane performance, and it depends on selecting the correct primer for the specific substrate and its condition. This family covers primers and preparation products matched to concrete, metal, single-ply, bituminous and other surfaces.
The right primer is determined by the substrate, its porosity and moisture, the coating chemistry above it, and the results of adhesion testing. Preparation requirements are always defined by the controlling system specification.
Role in the system: The bonding layer beneath every Equivalent system, selected to match both the substrate and the membrane or coating above it.
