Aggregates & Surfacing
Aggregates, broadcast media and decorative surfacing that add slip resistance, wear protection and finished appearance to trafficked and exposed coatings.
What aggregates & surfacing are
Aggregates and surfacing media are broadcast into or applied over coatings to build slip resistance, protect the membrane from wear, and create a finished, decorative surface. Grades range from fine anti-slip media to coarser aggregates for heavy-traffic wear layers.
The choice of aggregate, broadcast rate and finish is driven by the traffic type, slip requirements and desired appearance, and is defined by the system specification for each area.
Role in the system: The broadcast and finish layer that gives trafficked and decorative assemblies their slip resistance and wear protection.
