What polyurethane waterproofing are

Polyurethane waterproofing products are liquid-applied and cure to form a monolithic, fully-bonded membrane with strong crack-bridging and elongation characteristics. Because they are seamless and self-flashing, they detail cleanly around penetrations, drains and vertical transitions.

They are used across roofing, exposed decks, balconies, planters, wet areas and below-grade transitions, and are frequently combined with reinforcement fabric at movement joints and details. The correct primer, film build and detailing are governed by the current product data sheet and project conditions.

Role in the system: The core waterproofing membrane in roof, deck and traffic assemblies — installed over primer, reinforced at details, and protected by a top or wear coat where exposed.
