Fabrics & Reinforcement
Polyester and glass reinforcing fabrics, tapes and detailing membranes embedded into liquid systems to add strength, crack-bridging and reliability at joints and details.
What fabrics & reinforcement are
Reinforcement is embedded into a liquid-applied membrane to distribute stress, bridge cracks and movement joints, and add consistency to film build. Fabrics range from full-coverage reinforcement across field areas to narrow tapes used only at seams, penetrations and transitions.
The correct fabric type and placement are defined by the system specification and the demands of each detail. Reinforcement is especially important at points of movement, change of plane and around penetrations.
Role in the system: The embedded reinforcement layer within reinforced membranes and at critical details across most Equivalent liquid systems.
